VELOUR SET LONG 01

I once walked into a huge lobby with walls finished in dark suede. I touched it and immediately knew: I want to bring this texture into clothing. I was fascinated by the depth of the material. The way it absorbed light instead of reflecting it. You ran your hand across it and the surface changed instantly. It looked fucking elegant. Except I didn’t want clothing that was only good for looking elegant. I wanted to be able to move normally in it.

So we started looking for a velvet that could give us both. Dense. Deep. Soft. But above all, flexible. The kind you can spend an entire day in. Get on a plane. Go to lunch. Sit at a bar in the evening. And, if you feel like it, head out onto the golf course and take a full swing without fighting your own clothes. That’s what Active Luxury means to me. Not sportswear. Not clothing “for a special occasion.” Clothing that doesn’t ask what you’re going to do today.

A polo and long trousers. Both made from exactly the same velvet. I didn’t need much more. Because here, the fabric does all the work. You run your hand across it and it changes. Light hits it and it changes. You start moving, and it moves with you. And that’s what I like most about it. You might see two guys wearing polos and trousers. But you’ll notice this one. VELOUR SET LONG. Karl Tomas. Looks like luxury. Moves like it has somewhere to be.
